Between the 17th and 19th of September 2023, two members of ARAO attended a preparatory visit to ASCU's headquarters. Throughout this visit, our team worked closely with our partner's staff to plan the thematic and logistical aspects of the Job Shadowing. Moreover, we delved into the upcoming mobility activities, ensuring their meaningfulness and relevance for a satisfying learning experience. Our discussions also involved establishing the logistical framework and devising a comprehensive plan to equip the six participants thematically and logistically for the upcoming mobility.
During the three days, including the travel, allocated for preparation in Grenoble, we had the privilege of meeting the president of the hosting organization and the coordinator for Erasmus+ projects. They generously acquainted us with the venue where their activities take place, and much to our satisfaction, we learned about the existence of a dedicated house for associations to organize activities as needed.
We gained insights into the myriad opportunities that the city offers, particularly discovering the unique Via Ferrata situated in the heart of Grenoble - Les Prises de la Bastille. Notably, this urban Via Ferrata stands as the sole one of its kind in the city, presenting an exceptional and distinctive experience for enthusiasts. Our exploration of this remarkable feature added a distinctive dimension to our understanding of Grenoble's offerings in terms of Via-Ferrata.
We engaged in detailed discussions about the host organization's scheduled activities during the job-shadowing period. They provided insights into the Via Ferrata workshops designed for the public, including beginners as well. Our hosts explained the procedural complexities involved in organizing such events. Additionally, we collaboratively devised a plan to explore various Via Ferratas with diverse difficulty levels, aiming to enhance our comprehension of organizing groups based on their numbers and levels of preparedness.
Furthermore, our hosts suggested local visits to immerse participants in the rich tapestry of French culture, adding a valuable cultural dimension to the overall experience.
