📆 Day 6 | 29 May
📍Route: Vaulx-en-Velin ->  Sablons, France
🚴‍♀️ Distance cycled: 95 km
🏰 Places visited: The city of Lyon, Flee market Lyon, Barrage de Saint Pierre de Bœuf
We set off towards Lyon after a good night’s sleep at a great camping spot. The first stop we made was at a huge flea market right at the entrance to Lyon. In Lyon we again enjoyed a delicious breakfast before visiting the city. Lyon is a very bike friendly city, and the route among the Rhone is spectacular - one of the best segments so far.Â
The afternoon was very hot and quite tiring, but nothing we couldn’t handle. Midway through the ride, we found plenty of cherry and ate like pigs. We also found onion for dinner. This part of France is very good in agriculture.
In the evening, we found a nice place to camp at the outskirts of Sablons, near a small river— perfect for washing up. However, the area is full of mosquitoes, and I foresee tough battles ahead tonight, as some have already made their way into my tent.

is open Thursday and Saturday from 7 AM to 1 PM,Â
and Sunday from 7 AM to 3 PM.
A decent place for camping, with a small river for bathing, but it's full of mosquitoes. Use only if there’s no other alternative.
