📆 Day 13 | 5 June
📍Route: Saint-Laurent-d'Aigouze -> Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone, France
🚴‍♀️ Distance cycled: 53 km
🏰 Places visited: Aigues-Mortes Auto Museum (Tacot Museum), Salins d'Aigues-Mortes, Le Grau-du-RoiÂ
We cycled 53 kilometres from near Montcalm to the outskirts of Montpelier.
We stopped in Aigues-Mortes to visit the auto museum and interview the owner, Mr. Albert Rene. Then we made a quick stop at Les salins du midi but we already visited many salt fields so we didn’t need another salt visit. We left Aigues-Mortes and headed to Le Grau-du-Roi where we interviewed the local tourism office representative.
We continued to Palavas-les-Flots where Dan decided to stay and spend the afternoon. The rest of the group booked an apartment in the centre of Montpelier. Dan camped at the Plage Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone.
There were no unexpected situations today. Everything went smoothly, which made for a calm and more relaxing day. We have biked more than a thousand kilometers in this expedition and reached all our goals. We continue to explore the Montpelier area tomorrow and next day we head towards Grenoble.
The main lesson we took from today was that even after difficult or negative moments, good things eventually rise to the surface. It was a reminder that patience and resilience always pay off.

Excellent camping spot near the sea. Completely wild, with grass to pitch your tent on and the sea just 20 meters away.Â
