We woke up in an unpleasant spot, with strong winds shaking the tents in every direction. We set off, but things didn’t start well — we couldn’t find the right path and ended up going through rough terrain and private property. Luckily, a man passed by and gave us the correct directions. 

We departed Salin de Giraud and visited a very large part of the Camargue Regional Nature Park on our way to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. Once we reached the town we had and enjoyed a nice afternoon at the beach. Later, we continued cycling toward Montpellier. Again, we ended up in private property with no way through, but after turning back, we found a solution and kept going. We eventually found a place to camp — though it’s full of mosquitoes and right next to a road.

Dan lost the kilometer indicator so our estimates of daily distance are based exclusively on online calculations. Today without getting lost we biked about 58 km.
