📆 Day 1 | 24 May
📍Route: Grenoble -> 🚆Grenoble -> Geneva🚲-> Maladaire Campground (La Tour-de-Peilz, Switzerland)
🚴♀️ Distance cycled: 90 km
🏰 Places visited: Lake Leman, Olympic Museum in Lausanne
At 7:00 AM we departed from home. We took Grenoble-Geneva train and by 10:00 we started to cycle. We started in Geneva and cycled to Maladaire Campground (Camping de la Maladaire), covering a distance of 90 km.
The weather was nice and all day we were impressed by the stunning views of Lake Leman. We stopped for lunch around 13:00 and continued biking to Lausanne where we visited the Olympic Museum.
We camped at Maladaire Campground, which had showers, bathrooms, a small snack bar, and a shared kitchen. It was our first day setting up the campsite by ourselves, which turned out to be a valuable learning experience.
We met a local Portuguese woman who gave us safety advice about the area.
We had a small disagreement with two civilians in Switzerland, an unexpected but manageable situation.
The team dynamic was very positive — we supported and helped each other, especially during the camp setup.
