Our third day in the saddle followed the tranquil course of the Berounka River, winding through forested valleys of the Křivoklátsko protected landscape area. Setting off from Roztoky u Křivoklátu, we cycled along quiet riverside roads and trails, with constant views of leafy hillsides mirrored in the calm waters. The route featured gentle climbs and descents, passing by rocky slopes, with perfect stops for a midday break or to take in the autumn scenery. 

Local wildlife and the peaceful sound of the river set the tone for the day’s ride. As we approached Skryje, the landscape became even more dramatic with a mix of cliffs and wooded slopes. In the village, we discovered its charming historical zone. We ended the day by settling into camp beside the river, grateful for a route that balanced cycling challenges with unforgettable natural beauty.
