We left the mystical cliffs and ancient monastery of Svatý Jan pod Skalou behind, pedaling through picturesque valleys and gentle hills that define the Bohemian Karst. Our route wound past quiet villages and through forests flushed with autumn colors, the morning air crisp and clear as we approached the urban edge of Prague. Arriving in Rudná, a lively small-town south of Prague, we rested for the next kilometers of our bikepacking adventure.
