This project gives 18-year-olds—especially those who might not otherwise have the chance—the opportunity to explore Europe by train. Through three thematic journeys, 15 young people and their group leaders will discover new cultures, gain fresh perspectives, and build a stronger sense of belonging to a shared European community. Beyond sightseeing, the experience fosters personal growth, intercultural understanding, and well-being, while also addressing barriers such as financial, social, and geographic limitations. By guiding and supporting young travelers, the project empowers them to take initiative, connect with Erasmus+ opportunities, and embrace values like inclusion, sustainability, digital transformation, and active citizenship.
The goal of the project was to motivate and guide 15 young individuals from Harghita County facing various obstacles to broaden their perspectives beyond their local environment and explore EU educational opportunities that match their aspirations.
By the end of the project, we would have:
Equipped these 15 participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to plan an environmentally conscious educational journey while promoting intercultural dialogue.
Raised awareness among participants about eco-friendly travel, the value of cultural diversity, the benefits of life in smart cities, and the importance of active citizenship for young people.
Inspired a new generation of young people who not only see the world differently but also actively engage in shaping their own futures.
5 young participants accompanied by a dedicated youth worker visited technologically advanced cities to explore the concept of smart cities. Through museum visits, virtual reality experiences, and the use of city-specific apps, they gained valuable insights into innovative urban technologies and how these contribute to addressing societal challenges.
